Android updates for December 2022 patch multiple vulnerabilities
Google published the Android Security Bulletin for December 2022 with patches for multiple vulnerabilities, including four security vulnerabilities that are rated critical.
A total of 41 issues were patched with the first part of security updates – the 2022-12-01 security patch level. The vulnerabilities were patched in Android Runtime, Framework, Media Framework, System and Google Play system components. These include 23 elevation of privilege flaws, 4 remote code execution, 8 information disclosure vulnerabilities and 6 denial of service issues.
The second part of December 2022 set of patches arrives on devices as the 2022-12-05 security patch level and includes fixes for a total of 36 vulnerabilities in Kernel, Imagination Technologies, MediaTek, Unisoc, Qualcomm and Qualcomm closed-source components.
Google also announced patches for Pixel devices that address multiple security vulnerabilities in Framework, Media Framework, System, Kernel, Pixel, Qualcomm and Qualcomm closed-source components.
