Google published the Android Security Bulletin for October 2022 with patches for multiple vulnerabilities, including four security vulnerabilities that are rated critical.

A total of 15 issues were patched with the first part of security updates – the 2022-10-01 security patch level. The vulnerabilities were patched in Framework, Media Framework and System components. These include six elevation of privilege flaws, seven information disclosure vulnerabilities and two denial of service issues.

The second part of October 2022 set of patches arrives on devices as the 2022-10-05 security patch level and includes fixes for a total of 33 vulnerabilities in Kernel, Imagination Technologies, MediaTek, Unisoc and Qualcomm components.

Google also announced patches for Pixel devices that address multiple security vulnerabilities in Pixel and Qualcomm components.
