Google published the Android Security Bulletin for August 2022 with patches for multiple vulnerabilities, including security vulnerability that is rated critical.

A total of 17 issues were patched with the first part of security updates – the 2022-08-01 security patch level. The vulnerabilities were patched in Framework, Media Framework, System and Google Play system components. These include nine elevation of privilege flaws, six information disclosure vulnerabilities, one remote code execution flaw and one DoS vulnerability.

The second part of August 2022 set of patches arrives on devices as the 2022-08-05 security patch level and includes fixes for a total of 19 vulnerabilities in Kernel, Imagination Technologies, MediaTek, Unisoc and Qualcomm components.

Google also announced patches for Pixel devices that address multiple security vulnerabilities in Kernel and Pixel components.
