Security updates have been released for Linux Kernel

Several vulnerabilities have been discovered in the Linux kernel that may lead to arbitrary code execution, security restrictions bypass, sensitive information disclosure and denial of service condition and elevation of privilege. These problems have been fixed with the release of security updates.

For SUSE system:

  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3 kernel update solves 20 vulnerabilities and has 39 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:2177-1;
  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3 kernel update solves four vulnerabilities and has 8 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:2173-1;
  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3 kernel update solves 7 vulnerabilities and has 10 fixes –SUSE-SU-2022:2172-1.

For Red Hat system:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.2 kernel update solves 5 vulnerabilities – RHSA-2022:5224.

For Ubuntu system:

  • Linux kernel updates that solve 5 vulnerabilities in Ubuntu 14.04 ESM – USN-5484-1;
  • Linux kernel updates that solve 3 vulnerabilities in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Ubuntu 21.10, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Ubuntu 16.04 ESM, Ubuntu 14.04 ESM – USN-5485-1;
  • Linux kernel updates that solve one vulnerability in Ubuntu 21.10, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Ubuntu 16.04 ESM - USN-5493-1.
