Vmware released security updates to address security vulnerability (CVE-2022-22977) in VMware Tools for Windows. VMware has evaluated this issue to be in the Moderate severity range with a CVSSv3 base score of 5.8. A malicious actor could exploit this vulnerability to trigger denial-of-service condition or information disclosure on affected system. The flaw affects VMware Tools for Windows versions 12.0.0, 11.x.y and 10.x.y and has been remediated in version 12.0.5.
