New update for Windows 10 permanently removes Flash Player

Microsoft has begun rolling out an update for the Windows 10 operating system that will permanently remove Adobe Flash Player. Patch KB4577586 is a part of a set of cumulative updates released in early February 2021 and is intended for Windows 10 20H2, 2004 and older versions.

However, the KB4577586 is presented to be an optional update, it is downloaded automatically when the user clicks on 'Check for Updates' button in 'Windows Update'. This patch will represent a final goodbye to Adobe Flash Player for all versions of the operating system and will be distributed via Windows Update to more users over the next few weeks.
