Developer Gustave Monce drew attention to an indicator with the image of the camera icon, which appeared on the OS control panel. According to him, the icon lights up every time the user turns on the webcam on PC.

It is noted that this feature is currently being tested in internal builds of Windows 10X, but later it may appear in Windows 10 as well.

After integration of the mentioned feature, a new icon in the form of a video camera will appear on the taskbar. By hovering a cursor over it will allow to see which applications are using the camera. If there are several such applications, their number will be displayed right on the icon. The new feature is designed to increase the level of confidentiality.
