Security updates have been released for Linux Kernel

Multiple vulnerabilities were identified in Linux Kernel. A remote attacker could exploit some of these vulnerabilities to trigger denial of service condition, elevation of privilege and security restriction bypass on the targeted system.

For SUSE system:

  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3 kernel update solves 6 vulnerabilities and has 50 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:0760-1;
  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 SP3 kernel update solves 7 vulnerabilities and has 5 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:0762-1;
  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3 RT kernel update solves 3 vulnerabilities and has 43 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:0763-1;
  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP2 RT kernel update solves 2 vulnerabilities and has 3 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:0764-1;
  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP5 Azure kernel update solves 10 vulnerabilities and has 50 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:0765-1;
  • The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 kernel update solves 9 vulnerabilities and has 7 fixes – SUSE-SU-2022:0766-1.

For Red Hat system:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.2 Extended kernel update solves 5 vulnerabilities and has 2 fixes – RHSA-2022:0820;
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Extended kernel update solves one vulnerability – RHSA-2022:0822;
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.1 kernel update solves 7 vulnerabilities – RHSA-2022:0823;
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 kernel update solves one vulnerability – RHSA-2022:0831.

For Ubuntu system:

  • Linux kernel updates that solve 5 vulnerabilities in Ubuntu 21.10 and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS – USN-5317-1.
