Google fixed 0-day vulnerability in Chrome

Google corporation has addressed an actively exploited 0-day vulnerability in the Chrome browser. Last night, all Windows, macOS and Linux users were supposed to receive Chrome version 88.0.4324.150, which patches the dangerous flaw.

The vulnerability received CVE-2021-21148 ID and rated as high severity. Google representatives noted that they are aware of the existence of an exploit that cybercriminals use in real attacks. It is known that security issue was reported by researcher Mattias Buelens. On January 24, 2021, he sent Google a corresponding report with all the details regarding the identified bug.

According to the description, the vulnerability is a buffer overflow vulnerability and affects V8 engine.
