Google published the Android Security Bulletin for January 2022 with patches for multiple vulnerabilities, including one that is rated critical.

A total of 16 issues were patched with the first part of security updates – the 2022-01-01 security patch level. The vulnerabilities were patched in Framework, Media Framework and System components. These include eleven elevation of privilege flaws, three information disclosure vulnerabilities, two DoS vulnerabilities.

The second part of January 2022’s set of patches arrives on devices as the 2022-01-05 security patch level and includes fixes for a total of 19 vulnerabilities in Android runtime, Kernel, MediaTek, Unisoc and Qualcomm components.

Google also announced patches for Pixel devices that address multiple security vulnerabilities in Pixel and Qualcomm components.
