Google published the Android Security Bulletin for October 2021 with patches for multiple vulnerabilities, including three that are rated critical.

A total of 10 issues were patched with the first part of security updates – the 2021-10-01 security patch level. The vulnerabilities were patched in Android runtime, Framework, Media Framework and System components, all considered high-severity. These include five elevation of privilege flaws, three information disclosure vulnerabilities and two DoS vulnerabilities.

The second part of October 2021’s set of patches arrives on devices as the 2021-10-05 security patch level and includes fixes for a total of 41 vulnerabilities in System, Kernel, Telecommunication and Qualcomm components.

Google also announced patches for Pixel devices that address a total of 20 vulnerabilities in Kernel, Pixel, Qualcomm components.
