Microsoft releases September 2021 security updates
Microsoft has released updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft software. Microsoft has fixed over 60 vulnerabilities with Microsoft's September 2021 Patch Tuesday, with three classified as Critical, 56 as Important, and one as Moderate.
Of the fixed vulnerabilities: 27 are elevation of privilege vulnerabilities, 2 are security feature bypass vulnerabilities, 16 are remote code execution vulnerabilities, 11 are information disclosure vulnerabilities, 1 is denial of service vulnerability, 8 are spoofing vulnerabilities
September's Patch Tuesday includes fixes for two zero-day vulnerabilities:
CVE-2021-36968 - Windows DNS Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability
CVE-2021-40444 - Microsoft MSHTML Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
