Microsoft warns Azure customers of critical Cosmos DB vulnerability

Microsoft has warned its customers about a vulnerability found in the cloud platform Azure. Attackers could view, change and delete confidential databases with the help of this flaw.

The issue is related to the keys used to access the Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB database service and was discovered by cybersecurity company Wiz.

According to experts, the vulnerability stems from the series of bugs in the program code. The flaw could allow any user to gain access to the service architecture, as well as download, change or delete customer data.

Microsoft has already notified customers of the issue and has taken action to restore security.
