Unidentified persons stole data on Intel income from the official website of the company

Intel has reported a cyber incident in which cybercriminals managed to steal information about the tech giant's financial results for the entire 2020. The stolen data is part of Intel's as yet unpublished report on its earnings.

Intel believes that the attacker received detailed information on good performance for the quarter and wanted to publish it after the close of the exchange. Finding the problem, the company made an official earnings announcement six minutes before the  market's closure.

According to Intel's Chief Financial Officer George Davis, the stolen infographics provided an insight into the company's Q4 and 2020 revenue. The attackers were able to extract this data from the official Intel website, where the corporation publishes news.
