VMware has released security update to address vulnerability in the VMware Tools for Windows. VMware Tools for Windows contains a denial-of-service vulnerability (CVE-2021-21997) in the VM3DMP driver. VMware has evaluated the severity of this issue with a CVSSv3 base score of 3.3.

According to the security advisory, this vulnerability fixed in VMware Tools version 11.3.0.

Users are advised to review the Vmware security advisory and apply the necessary update – VMSA-2021-0011.
