Google will now scan extensions that users install on Chrome browser. If among them there is an add-on, the developer of which looks suspicious, the Internet browser will inform the user about it.

The new scanning principle will be part of the new features united under the name Enhanced Safe Browsing. As a reminder, Google introduced this functionality last May. This is how the Internet giant describes the new features of Enhanced Safe Browsing: "Enhanced Safe Browsing will now offer users additional protection against malicious or unwanted extensions hosted in the official Chrome Web Store."
