A vulnerability was identified in major Linux distributions. A local privilege escalation vulnerability, commonly known as "Dirty Frag and Copy Fail 2", chains two flaws tracked as (CVE-2026-43284 и CVE-2026-43500), may already be exploited. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to trigger elevation of privilege on the targeted system.
Linux distributions have started releasing patches and mitigations for Dirty Frag, including Red Hat, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, Fedora, and Alma Linux.
