Researchers have discovered 30 malicious extensions in the Chrome Web Store disguised as AI assistants. At the time of detection, these extensions had been installed by over 300,000 users. The extensions steal passwords, email contents, and data from browsers. Some of the malicious extensions are still available in the official Chrome Store.

Anyone who has used any of the identified malicious extensions is strongly advised to immediately remove them and change the passwords for all accounts.
