NVIDIA releases security update for software
NVIDIA has released a software security update for NVIDIA GPU Display Driver. Security update addresses 8 vulnerabilities on the Windows and Linux GPU drivers. This update addresses issues that may lead to arbitrary code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure and data tampering.
Nvidia released updates for GeForce, NVIDIA RTX, Quadro, NVS, Tesla and fixed vulnerabilities in the driver branches R565, R560, R555, R550 and R535 for Windows and in the branches R565, R550 and R535 for Linux.
NVIDIA vGPU software has two vulnerabilities (CVE‑2024‑0127 and CVE‑2024‑0128). Although both problems could lead to privilege escalation, information leakage and data modification, the first vulnerability could also be used to execute arbitrary code and provoke denial of service (DoS).
