Global outage of devices with Windows
In many countries around the world, there is a failure of Windows devices, with users complaining about the appearance of a "blue screen of death" on Windows 10 devices. The problem has affected important parts of the infrastructure of various countries, such as the operation of foreign airlines and airports, banks, utilities, telecommunications and communications.
Presumably, the problem may be related to an update from the information security provider CrowdStrike. This week, the company released an update that caused failures in the operation of Microsoft laptops - many devices randomly rebooted and displayed an error message on a blue screen.
The failure of devices with Windows affected many companies and government agencies in Australia, the United States, Turkey, Ireland, India, Great Britain, Japan and other countries. The following airlines also reported problems: United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Allegiant Airlines, Air France, Turkish Airlines, Ryanair, SpiceJet, Indigo, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, airports of Edinburgh, Zurich, Prague, Schiphol in the Netherlands, Delhi airport and others.
Microsoft confirmed the failure of system maintenance and said that it is taking "mitigation measures".
The company specified that they are working to resolve issues with cloud services, as well as a failure affecting several of its applications and services.
